If you are new to the sport and want to experience rowing, the Berri Rowing Club welcomes you to Discover Rowing!

The program is strongly supported by our experienced members and allows you to start your rowing career in a safe, structured and welcoming environment.

Our Discover Rowing program is for adults, continuing throughout the year. It comprises of three sessions at a cost of $20 to cover insurance.

You’ll have the opportunity to row from your first visit to the Club and we aim to put beginners on the water at every class.

During these sessions, you’ll learn how to:

  • be safe on and off the water

  • take the rowing technique learnt on land and apply it in the boat

  • row with an experienced crew

  • handle rowing equipment (boats, oars, riggers, rowing machines)

After initial training, we normally spend an hour enjoying the pelicans, birds and serenity out on the water.

The option of joining the Club as a member is available after completing the Discover Rowing program. Membership is paid in proportion to the months remaining in the rowing season.

Berri Rowing Club Inc. collects this information to assist us in achieving the aims and objectives of the Club and to provide you with information relating to the Club. We are also required to collect this information pursuant to the Association Incorporation Act 1985. We do not share this information with any other organisation, other than as required by the Association Incorporations Act 1985. We do not sell our membership list to any other agency or organisation. A copy of the Club’s Constitution is available to any member on request.
