2025 Event

The latest Riverland Regatta & 2nd Grade State Championships was held on Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th of December, 2025. More information can be found on the Rowing SA website.

The event brings together rowing enthusiasts and athletes from across the state and serves as a highlight in the rowing calendar.  It attracts participants, spectators and supporters alike.  This multi-day event combines the excitement of regatta racing with the competitive spirit of state championships, making it a must-attend for rowers and rowing supporters and enthusiasts. Held downstream of the Berri Bridge, the event takes advantage of our scenic waterways, providing a stunning backdrop for the rowing competitors. The event, spanned over the weekend allows competitors from intra and interstate to participate in both 1000m and 2000m distance races, in all boat sizes.

As hosts of this event, the Berri Rowing Club provides around 1500 breakfasts and lunches on each of the two days for athletes and spectators. Our catering is extremely well-supported and appreciated. We are heavily involved with volunteers assisting Rowing SA officials with race timekeepers, keeping track of bow numbers and calling the racing. We supply boats and drivers to ensure safety in the water while the races are on. All of these positions are filled by club members and a host of other valuable volunteers, friends and family.

We are very fortunate to have a large number of local businesses who willingly sponsor us every year which ensures the success of this event and we are especially grateful to them all.

The Riverland Regatta & 2nd Grade State Championships, run by Rowing SA, is hosted biennally by the Berri Rowing Club, with alternate years held at the Renmark Rowing Club.
